Artist's Comments

interpol and louis xiv were part of the PSP Factory party in hollywood last week.

this photo is only of paul banks with carlos d. disappearing into the bokeh.

gamer developers. hollywood a-listers. hangers-on. the hollywood gamut.

but ... i got to see interpol.

in fact, i'm listening to interpol as i write this.

personally, i love lens flare. the real thing. not the bullshit filter in photoshop.

and ... i really like the lens flare from a noctilux.

leica mp. 50mm/1.0 noctilux at 1.4. 1/250th. ilford delta 400 (normal)

Gorgeous picture, I love the flare in the top right. For me, its what attracted me to this photo. As you say, real lens flare can be pretty special.

Great work.

I agree with you, a lens flare can be magic in a photo. Another great image from you!

are those strange shapes artefacts generated by the lens? anyway, dof and bokeh at its best...... once more... ;)

That's a nice lens flare indeed. Especially with the grain *nods*
I don't know Interpol myself, I should try and listen to them.
It's nice to see black that's really black.
