got a call from the nyc office because a magazine needed the RAW file from a photo i made back in 2003.
i mean ... i don't even remember what i shot last week.
i know i shot some babies earlier in the week as a favour for a designer ...
oh joy.
let me fucking tell you.
but ... during this shoot i was getting emails and calls about an image i made like ... long ago.
so ... found the images ...
and saw that i'd been using a backup nikon d1 as my ambient light body.
2.74 megapixels.
just freaked me the fuck out ...
i mean ... that was less than 4 years ago ...
and ...
except for the fact it was dogshit above 400 iso ...
it was a camera i depended on.
none of the d1's ever went down ... i had to wait for the d1x's to have shutters blow all the time.
then i switched to a 1d canon as my ambient light body ...
and once the mark 2's came out ...
i said ciao to nikon.
except for film, of course.
anyway ... just thought i'd share.
image made in july of 2003.
nikon d1. 80-200/2.8 at f/3.5. 1/1640th. 400 iso. minor levels adjstment. +8 contrast. i'm sure there were other tricks when i'd shoot a d1 ... but i re-edited the raw.
I know you're protecting a sellable image, but the watermark across her face is damaging...I can't feel the composition of the photo because the watermark is so busy.
