Nice focus job, 'b''s eyes.

Photos happen in your brain. You're just lucky you have a camera.

i love your f/1.0 noctilux stuff, that stop makes the whole world stop and focuses you right on the subject. nothing else exists in that moment.
do you find it a pain to precisely focus nocti?
i know my FD 55/1.2 is impossible in low light.
i was always wondering how weird certain old lenses behave on digital. like certain old russian m42 lenses than totally shine on film, especially bw, just so totally suck on digital. i guess nocti doesn't...
again, trying to 'view' not 'review', as you put it, the nocti, with it's ultrashallow dof, somehow opens up the alice's rabbithole out of thin air (i guess my english is not good enough). it separates the in-focus subjects from the world like some wizard surgeon...
plus, now that i scrolled up to see that photo again, and i don't give a fuck if anyone writes about it in any photography book, the portaits of people with their eyes closed, are just so... special. (can't find better words now - the caffeine still hasn't hit my brain since the coffee hit the bottom of my stomach three minutes ago).
some small kids sometimes when they play hide and seek, think that they close their eyes and they're invisible. indeed, you don't know where b was in her mind at that very moment. maybe seeing inside c's heart, or seeing with her eyes. or bathing her soul in the warmth of the moment and the promise of peace and love (i'm so darn poetic in the morning).
thanks for sharing that one, Chris.
its good to hear the 'quartet' is doing swimigly..

Horribly intrusive watermarks are tacky. If you're concerned about people stealing your photos, don't post them on the internet.
Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)
