although i was only hired to shoot the inside party for the launch of roberto cavalli's new store on rodeo ... i made some photos on the red carpet.

this was the first time christina was showing off her new engagement ring to some little dude. i mean little. like ... i thought he could have been that guy on the mtv show with johnny knoxville.

i really liked the background roberto used.

leica mp. 35/1.4 summilux at 2.0. 1/500th. ilford delta 400 (+1 at 800)

christina's new ring... by `cweeks: Merriam-Webster Online defines photography as "the art or process of producing images by the action of radiant energy and especially light on a sensitive surface". Above all, I love photography that relies on the simplicity of this very action and on the intent of the original light to convey its beauty. In celebration of the Collections launch on deviantART, I am featuring something from my collection of Muched Loved photographs. This photograph has winning composition, a sense of style, and an elegant sense of seeming simplicity. (Suggested by ~Clementine98 and Featured by `equivoque)

Its got a funky and genuine feel to it. Love the right hand composition and the back ground print makes great use of negative space. Love the tonal range.

chris, i worship your work. this is just awesome and i love how you manage to come away with unique images from very well documented (photographed) events.

i am in love with black and white after spending days appreciating your work here at DA. i aspire to be able to create interesting images like yours. i dont mean to sound lame, but i would really love it if you could spend 2 mins at my gallery checking out my latest b/w work..i have been photographing the musicians that play in the new york subway system...thanks a lot!! :D

The background and the lighting really compliment her features. The color of her hair is like the same color as her jacket which makes the blackness of her dress stand out along with her dark eyes. It's a great contrast.
