seriously ... i was bored ... at a job i was shooting for a car manufacturer. you wouldn't believe it. a brian wilson (of The Beach Boys fame) inspired luxury car was being auctioned off benefitting something concerning the recording academy. so ... being bored yet hearing the fretless bass on the other side of the room ... i tried to think of how i'd remember the sound. it was definately the plucking (i'm sure there's a bassist that has the technical term for it) ...

i think this is what the sound looks like. perhaps.

eos 1d mark 2. 1/4 (handheld) with 24-70/2.8 L at 2.8. 800 iso. converted to b/w using channels. adj. cont. slight adj to levs.

Beautiful shot, I love the motion.

This reminds me of the night you took me to that sexy little jazz bar in LA, and fed me martinis. It was totally your fault that I ended up dancing on the table that night, and you had no right to be so pissed off.

Ahhh... those were the days. You never take me anywhere nice anymore.

but ... i didn't think it was you i took to the jazz club ... i thought we went to Roscoe's Fried Chicken and Waffles and the strip joint. i do remember you getting up and dancing but i was pissed only because you started taking tips and dancing for other guys.

those were the days.

when you're hungry for the chicken and waffles ... let me know.

thats really awesome.
im a bassist, but i only call it playing by finger.... only real technical terms are slapping and popping really.
i guess i don't care much about the technicalities.
oh to have an accostic fretless bass.. mmm...

yes. my right forearm is mean. pick up an eos 1d mark2 with any 2.8 glass ... do it for 6 ... 8 ... 10 ... 12 ... 14 hours at a time ...
