seriously ... i was bored ... at a job i was shooting for a car manufacturer. you wouldn't believe it. a brian wilson (of The Beach Boys fame) inspired luxury car was being auctioned off benefitting something concerning the recording academy. so ... being bored yet hearing the fretless bass on the other side of the room ... i tried to think of how i'd remember the sound. it was definately the plucking (i'm sure there's a bassist that has the technical term for it) ...

i think this is what the sound looks like. perhaps.

eos 1d mark 2. 1/4 (handheld) with 24-70/2.8 L at 2.8. 800 iso. converted to b/w using channels. adj. cont. slight adj to levs.

reminds me very much of a lyric from the song: 'oh comely' by Neutral Milk Hotel

'so make all your fat fleshy fingers to moving,

For me there is two very interesting things... Of course the motion of the hand... and the reflection on the wood. Don't ask me why but these details tell many things I can't explain with words about the musician who play.
With this shot we can heard music.

As we can remember a scent just by viewing something...

Best part of your deviation, in my opinion. Funny how art can do that.. Photography captures sound and sight, writing can capture taste, paintings can capture touch.. Sorry.
