solitary but ... by cweeks solitary but ... by cweeks
not really. i mean he is.

but if one looks left of him, there's another guy standing there.

not that they're talking.

not that they're looking at each other.

so i guess he's solitary.

if memory serves, ~Truffelschwein, `micdt, his daughter sara, and i were trying to find something.

perhaps a restaurant.

i believe they were all looking at a map.

i was just watching the dude.

he didn't see me at all.

then again, they don't see much in a 1/15th of a second.

he was prefocused at infinity.

i put the m6 up to my eye, framed...

thwaap.

my friend elinor aka `equivoque asked that i put this up.

so i did.

leica m6. 35/1.4 summilux ASPH. 1/15th. f/1.4 1/2. ilford delta 100.

I don't think lonely is defined by how many people one surrounds themselves with. Most lonely people surround themselves with noise and crowds.... lonely is a personal state of disconnection. Lonely is a sad state indeed.

That's how we get to be.
A really big group of people... most of us living solitary lives.
Sad, huh?

Well, not really.

Great picture, by the way!
There's no need to say too much about it.
The picture speaks for itself.

I love this photo - very rich "texture" (the buildings, the scene). I always enjoy european street shots. :)

there is always more to see than just the map -- sometimes getting lost -- places you in interesting spots -- where the solitary guy roams -- later days
