usually we break this shit up ... front-row and backstage ... or front-row ... backstage ... show ...

you almost never shoot all of it. one or two aspects.

well .. i'm stupid ... i did 'em all...

having an edit-staff helps, though.

imagine ... 70 friggin' photographers ... all packed in the media riser ...

and this in addition to electronic crews.

some are pros ... you know ... because you see them all over the place and you know their work ...

some ... are fucking tourists.

my spot on the media riser says, "Chris Weeks / All Shows / Fuck Off." Nonetheless some fucking neophyte will try and put his/her stuff down and take the spot.

well ... i'm in my fucking little square ... i move a foot to the left and some dipshit is trying to shoe horn in to which i say, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?"

"dude, relax."

"no you fucking relax and get the fuck out of my spot."

he looks at me.

"take your toy-fucking-camera (he was holding a digital rebel and a five-six zoom on a 75mm lens) and leave."

he looks at me.

"what the fuck part didn't you understand?"

he tries to say something ...

and i cut him off, "did you get fucking lost? are you visiting santa monica and made a wrong turn to the pier?"

"please ... go back to wherever you came from and leave the shooting to the men."

he was using flash as well.

the little pop-up variety.

yes, i sound harsh but ... we have jobs to do ... and these people just want to take pictures of pretty girls...

we -- the people who have a legitimate reason for being there -- do as well ...

but ... the eyes of the world see our work.

and i had no idea my little friend martina from moscow had it in her to give erin a little spank.

who knew.

Wow dude, I can't believe you'd talk to someone like that. For real. The camera doesn't make the photographer. I know plenty of shitheads who's parents have tons of money and will spend the 3 grand to buy the 5d mark II but does that mean they're not just fucking around? Of course not. Judgemental douche.

I know exactly what you mean, I can be overly kind and timid sometimes, but I lash out like you did as much as I can to scare off the new 15 mp tiny camera holders.
