In all the photos I've seen of Altman (not many), I have never seen him smile THAT wide.

Great catch, beautiful photograph.

I love the character that show through him in this. Sitting back in a rather old world, peaceful scene, you can just see his creative genius popping through in his face.

I feel so special that he's my relative, who'll I'll never get to meet because he's big and famous and I'm just a no-body teen :XD:

"explained the first shot in 'the player' to us."

I thought it was explained in the first shot of The Player... I love that flick. It's way up at the top of the list [link] Did he happen to mention 'Touch of Evil'?

I think this is excellent, not only in the angle and lighting...but more importantly, in capturing that little bit of what is not there, not concrete, not tangible...

By showing us what we cannot see... you've showed us everything.

...and I had no idea who this guy was...I had to google him.:slow:

amazing picture, the contrast, his look, the setting ROBERT ALTMAN, hello !
i can imagine how you took this one

itīs not more interesting because of his name, the picture itself is super cool.

i also like the description, "after getting what i needed in digital for my client ... then i broke out the leica and MADE STUFF I REALLY LIKE TO SHOW..." i can see you passion in this frame, this makes it great because itīs made with love for the cam and the setting :)
