i have a perch. some pay thousands of dollars to lounge 'round and pay us$475 for a bottle of grey goose.
the perch is fun. the music is too loud and if i hear "sexy back" one more fucking time, i'm gonna fucking puke. yeah, jt ... you're a star. my ears are ringing still but ... yeah ... "sexy back" is a hit and they love it. so ... up on this perch ... you have a great view of the massive dance floor. you can't really dance, per se, though. i think they wriggle. there's too many of them. throughout the night, though, people always ask me to make photos. i just pretend i can't hear them. i mean ... if they offer me a drink and i can clearly see them pour all of the ingredients ... yeah ... cool. perhaps i'll even make a photo of them. dunno why people always want to get the photographer drunk. so ... i had the 80-200 on the mark 2 (still focuses just that much better than the 5d) ... and i saw this dude. there were a couple of cameras going off so i wanted to see what the fuck. and, yeah, a quarter second hand-fucking-held. wide open. honestly, i love this photo. it's just so damn absurd. anyway ... i'm having a smoke leaning against this glass wall between the VIP perch and the dance floor... the dude and "his people" got closer and they were asking for a photo. um, yeah, fucking right. anyway ... one of the people hands me a card and it says, "the gazillionaire." i didn't read anything else. 'cause i already the photo i wanted. people are odd. and, yeah, i left it in colour. canon eos1dm2. 70-200/2.8L. 1/4 sec at f/2.8. 400 iso. slight unsharp mask. slight contrast. resize. |
