after stopping off the 101 -- i was friggin' tired -- for a doppio in the Valley on the way into Hollywood ... i noticed these two guys engaged in a one-sided game of chess.
finished my doppio. and ... then ... approached them and asked if i may make a few photos. why? why didn't i just "shoot it spy-style" and leave? dunno. it's like a feeling. sometimes i do. the last time i was denied was in palm springs by a fat couple. whatever. perhaps they knew that i was perhaps making a parody photo. dunno. don't really care. these guys said something in farsi and i heard the word leica. they were very very cool. didn't stick around to find out who won. i was on a mission. but ... i got a photo! leica mp. nocti-lust ... 50/1.0. 1/30th at 1.4. ilford delta 400 (+1 at 800) ILFORD IS FILM |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
