that a little group coxi, spyed and i -- with JamesBardolph and Gonzale and Treamus -- started could possibly inspire the vitriol of some. okay, not some ... just one ... but ... this guy. what's funny is that if this guy really knew shit about anything, he'd also know that he's also committed defamation.
what happens when one calls someone else a nazi in germany?
he's lucky that i don't sue him. he's lucky the people he's labeled as nazis -- the true meaning, of which, i find deplorable -- don't sue him as well. yes, screenshots and the entire page has been saved.
i don't vilify homeboy at all. i totally understand what he was saying.
to us street is defined as a philosophy not really a technique as was written in the street blog. when coxi and i talked about "a clubhouse" we never envisioned it becoming what it did. it got messy. it got away from what we wanted to start with. in fact, we wanted something -- different than what was out there already -- smaller and more exclusive. exclusive gets it root from exclude. yes, i said it "we wanted to exclude" more than we accepted. it's a club. it's not a fucking democracy.
all of us have the same mindset about what street should be yet different tastes when it comes to street photography. three of us have to vote in majority to approve about everything.
if you submit hdr to street, no, you're gonna get a decline.
street photography is making a truthful photo of something "just as you saw." in fact, until recently i wasn't even sure colour should be part of the equation. you see colour is different for everyone; only grayscale can provide an equal visual platform. sure ... i'm sure some of you disagree.
that's totally cool.
but calling someone a nazi over someone's philosophy?
totally uncalled for. illegal, actually, because damien-c not only is committing defamation but he doesn't have a foundation for whatever misguided theory he was trying to prove.
the funniest thing is that he appears to have been "kissing ass" as well. nothing like dedicating hateful vitriol to a group's founder? right? disclaimer: i very much like the yard's founder, StamatisGR. in fact, i believe i invited him to :devstreet". i'm sorry that we didn't accept much of his work at street.
i guess some those whose work was declined got upset and left street in protest?
and then write that we're total nazis? supremacists?
you're a dumb-ass. you do some alright work, though.
we'll see if i feel like wasting some money and suing him, though.
one other thing i find odd, actually, is membership in groups by "gallery moderators." could it be said that certain gallery mods could actually favour groups by awarding their members dd's?
not that fucking dd's matter.
in fact, i believe we turned down SEVERAL requests for favourites or gallery inclusions of dd's. when we declined we got "what the fuck? you guys suck! this got a dd."
that doesn't mean shit, just fyi.
in fact, i wish there were a way to check a box on a deviation which said "preclude from dd." spyed said i was crazy for thinking something like that. what i'm saying is that a pretty high number of the gallery mods don't even have "the eye" to decide what a dd is ... and isn't.
i'm not fucking calling them nazis though. because i'm not a dumb-ass. i know that by calling someone that they could sue me.
anyway ... none of us here at street are nazis. we're far from it. we like our street photography classic. it's a philosophy not a technique as coxi put it.
we're realists of what we want; we're not elitists.
hope you're all well. sorry there are no photos here.

hope everyone is well! i'm still making photos all over the world.
feel bad not posting here but tumblr allows me to "queue up" photos and basically put it on autopilot. i can also share them really big, too. something i can't even do on my own blog.
besides ... the long-form blog is dead. ;)
cheers from la-la-land!
happy 10th birthday
still can't believe this place is 10 years old. the 10th birthday celebration was at the house of blues. in between puppy training we went to see what it was all about. the first thing i saw were llamas on a red carpet...
wow ... i forgot that i have to use html code to post. not used to that as the blog is different. decided not to put this on the blog as it's way more relevant here.

just had a chance to browse the favourites folder for #street. i think it's the most heavily edited street gallery on dA. in fact, i know it is. what's nice for the viewer is that one doesn't have to sift through stuff that w
